Primary Health Care

Program Overview

Access to basic healthcare remains a critical challenge for millions in East Africa, particularly in refugee settlements and remote rural areas. ADEO’s Primary Health Care program bridges this gap by bringing essential medical services directly to the communities that need them most.

We operate community clinics and mobile medical units that provide comprehensive outpatient care, immunizations, and maternal health services. Our approach emphasizes preventative care, ensuring that treatable conditions are managed before they become life-threatening emergencies.

By training local community health volunteers, we ensure sustainability and cultural relevance in our service delivery. These frontline workers identify health risks early, facilitate referrals, and conduct health education campaigns that have reduced infant mortality and improved maternal health outcomes across our operational areas.

Our Impact

  • Community-led approach ensuring sustainability
